Accountability in folders
Within Assets, you can assign security and accountability to folders as you can with assets. Assigning accountability to folders gives access to the contents of the folder to only those administrators who have accountability rights equal to or greater than those granted to the folder. However, the accountability assigned to a folder is not passed on to the assets. The accountability assigned to the assets in the folder does not need to match that of the folder.

If an asset in a folder has lesser accountability or accessibility than the folder’s, some administrators who would normally be able to manage the asset would not be able to find it. However, the asset would still be accessible to patrons through the Searching interface. Portfolio warns you when you attempt to move an asset into a folder with greater security settings. |
